Holds Post Graduate Degree in Political Science, M. Phil. and Doctoral Degrees with specialization in foreign Policies (of India and the United States of America) from the Department of Political Science, Bangalore University. She holds a certificate on ‘Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility’ awarded by United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR, Geneva). Has completed ‘Women Entrepreneurship Programme’ of IIM-Bangalore and is a certified Global Career Counsellor from UCLA Extension. She has coordinated and headed nearly 30 national and international survey related projects. Has worked with the International Academy for Creative Teaching (iACT) as the Coordinator (PGDCT-KSOU) and as a Senior Faculty - Social Sciences. Has served as a member of the NCTE Textbook Committee (XII-World Politics). Has contributed to the drafting of Karnataka State Youth Policy as a Member of the Drafting Committee. As Project Coordinator of Madiwala Biodiversity Park Project, a flagship project of KLCDA, she facilitated project implementation. Served Karnataka Knowledge Commission, Government of Karnataka, as Senior Research Associate.

Sri. Gowrisha
Deputy Director
Has 12 years of teaching experience at postgraduate level teaching Management subjects and served as coordinator for Internal Quality Assurance Cell. His areas of interest are Quality in Education and Management of NGOs. He has published and presented many papers at national level and presently working on research in the area of Happiness Index in Organizations. He has worked as Chief Consultant in the Technical Secretariat of Committee to draft National Education Policy headed by renowned Space Scientist Dr. K Kasturirangan, which was constituted by MHRD, Government of India in the year 2017. He also served as honorary Secretary and Treasurer of C-LAMPS, a Bengaluru based NGO.

Ms. Dharani S
Senior Associate
She is pursuing her doctoral studies in the field of English studies with special focus on Philology, History of Disciplines and Universities and Liberal education. Her area of interest includes Literary and cultural studies, Higher Education and English studies. She has three years of teaching experience both at undergraduate and postgraduate studies. She is passionate to work on social sectors with a motive to bring positive change. She has played an instrumental role in transforming Aahana NGO and successfully placed it into a scalable model exhibiting her managerial skills. She has also worked as a volunteer at Campus2Community, a group of young students and professionals who are committed to improving the quality of Government-run schools in Karnataka.

Professional with a demonstrated history of working in Academic and Research Industry. She is skilled in Research Design, Psychometric Assessment, Field work, Case study, Learning and Development. She obtained Ph.D. from Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. She worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow at IISc and NIAS. She represented IISc, Bengaluru at Technical University Clausthal, Germany for Indo-German Partnership for Advanced Research (2017) administered by UGC, India and DAAD, Germany. She has involved in several consulting projects and also served as visiting faculty in various Institutions.

Sri. Chaitra M.S

Chaitra M.S. started his professional life as Biologist. After his master’s in Zoology from University of Mysore, he worked with Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, Center for Ecological Sciences (CES), Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bengaluru. From past eight years his research focus has shifted from biological sciences to study of India and her traditions. He has been working under the guidance of Prof. S N Balagangadhara and has been involved in building a group of scholars who are involved in doing collaborative research in an emerging discipline called “Comparative Science of Cultures”. At present he heads ISU at CESS.

Smt. Ashwini B Desai

Ashwini B. Desai has her master’s in English literature from University of Mysore and has submitted her PhD thesis in English literature. Her research is an enquiry into how colonialism has impacted literary studies in India and how even the contemporary literary practices are shaped by European description of India by taking Literary criticism and Literary history. She is making an attempt to understand how colonial consciousness impacts experiences of people using literature domain as an example.

Sri. Harshith Joseph
Fellow
Harshith Joseph did his master’s in English literature from Bangalore University and has submitted his PhD thesis in English literature. His work explores what is being considered as translation problem. He is making an attempt to show that translation is not a simple linguistic problem, but it is the problem of cultural difference. Through series of translation from Kannada to English and vice versa, he shows, when two cultures encounter each other, the problem is of understanding cultures and not a linguistic problem. His work shows important aspects like the impact of Bible translation on Kannada language and how colonial consciousness also becomes additional issue in translation.

Meenakshi Navaratna, is a master’s in English literature from University of Mysore. At present she is trying to explore the issues related to Bhakti traditions and how during colonialism, Bhakti traditions have been understood.

Varsha Jandial has a master’s degree in English Literature from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Jammu & Kashmir. She has also completed her B. Ed. from University of Jammu. She has worked with various student organizations and has represented India at London in 2017 as a part of delegation. She has also served as an English lecturer amongst visually impaired students.
